Funeral & Memorial Services

Memorial Services
The ancient Greeks believed that the transformation of the butterfly from pupa to adult was a metaphor of the soul's resurrection and immortality. It is because of this ideal that a butterfly release is a moving part of any ceremony whether it's to honor a fallen hero or memorialize a loved one.

A Selection of Memorial Poems

The following Memorial Service Poems can make a beautiful and moving part of any service
and are often used to incorporate a live butterfly release at the burial site of your loved one.

As you release this butterfly in honor of me,
know that I'm with you and will always be.

Hold a hand, say a prayer,
close your eyes and see me there.

Although you may feel a bit torn apart,
please know that I'll be forever in your heart.

Now fly away butterfly as high as you can go,
I'm right there with you more than you know.
